McClellan 2015 Field Cleanup The 2015 field season at McClellan is underway Over the summer, the Air Force plans to continue cleanup at several sites falling under one of the Air Force's most challenging projects at the former McClellan Air Force Base - the Focused Strategic Sites Project. Disposal Pit Capped One of the final projects underway is installing a capping system over a former waste disposal site. This summer, the Air Force Civil Engineer Center constructed the cap, documented here. Now the area is cleared for reuse, providing new opportunities for future development.
