Mission
The NEPA Division is located at the Installations Directorate of the Air Force Civil Engineer Center. The NEPA Division manages and executes Air Force activities pertaining to the Environmental Impact Analysis Process (EIAP) to ensure environmental considerations are factored into proposed Air Force activities.
Organization
A military chief leads the NEPA Division. It consists of Air Force civilian personnel supported by private industry contractors.
Capabilities
The NEPA Division offers expertise in the management on all environmental impact statements (EISs) and environmental assessments (EAs) of special importance (those with environmental, cultural/historic, and/or public or political sensitivity).
The NEPA Division also delivers overall program support with EIAP subject matter expertise and guidance to the installations and MAJCOMs, along with the development and implementation of streamlined technical approaches and enhanced contract tools supporting NEPA compliance. The NEPA Division also supports the enterprise through the tracking and reporting of NEPA projects, performing final validation of funding opportunities for EIAP projects, while building and managing annual spend plans supporting the execution of EIAP projects.
