Test Well

This test well in Starr County, Texas, will be used to determine whether a power plant using geopressured geothermal systems can generate the clean energy needed for a base to achieve energy resilience. The Department of the Air Force awarded a $1.9 million grant to have Sage Geosystems, Inc. construct a scaled-down version of a GSS power plant at the site in 2025 to demonstrate the technology.
