U.S. Airmen assigned to the 20th Civil Engineer Squadron worked as a team to demolish an uneven concrete sidewalk upheaved by tree roots at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., Aug. 10, 2017. The pavement and construction equipment Airmen, also known as “Dirt Boyz,” used tools such as a pneumatic 30-pound jack hammer and pickaxe to remove approximately five cubic yards of concrete to make way for a new path.
