Installations director passes away Published June 4, 2013 By AFCEC Public Affairs JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas -- Robert M. Moore, director of the Installations Directorate at the Air Force Civil Engineer Center here, passed away June 3 at his home. Moore graduated in 1974 from Virginia Military Institute with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. After spending nine years in the private sector, he began his Air Force civil service career at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. He spent more than half of his 30-year career at Headquarters Tactical Air Command, which later became Air Combat Command, at Langley AFB, Va., before performing Air Force-level civil engineering work at the Pentagon from 2000-2008. In 2008, Moore was named director of the Air Force Real Property Agency in San Antonio and led that organization until Oct. 1, 2012, when it merged into the Air Force Civil Engineer Center and he took the position as director of the Installations Directorate.
