The Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment announced today that Hunt ELP, Ltd., and Pinnacle AMS Development Company, LLC, have concluded an agreement transferring all project ownership and development responsibilities for two Pinnacle-Hunt jointly owned Air Force housing privatization projects to Hunt.

The companies will transition the property management of these projects from Pinnacle to Hunt over the next three months.

The effective date for the transfer of ownership and development responsibilities was March 8. The effective date for transfer of property management services is July 1.

The two groups affected are Air Education and Training Command Group II and BLB. The AETC Group II project includes Columbus Air Force Base, Miss., Maxwell AFB, Ala., Vance AFB, Okla., and Goodfellow, Laughlin and Randolph AFBs, Texas. BLB comprises Barksdale AFB, La., Langley AFB, Va. and Bolling AFB, Washington, D.C.

"We have full confidence in the abilities of these project owners to continue their operations in a stellar manner as they complete their transactions. They have a great track record," said Ian Smith, deputy chief of AFCEE's Housing Privatization Division. "We anticipate a seamless transition and continuous support for our Airmen and their families."

AFCEE manages the program for the Air Force in its designated role as the Military Family Housing Privatization Center of Excellence. Since the program began 13 years ago, the Air Force has privatized more than 37,000 homes on some 40 installations.

Under the privatization program, housing industry partners, called project owners, build and renovate military housing units with compensation in the form of the Basic Allowance for Housing funds military members receive for their living quarters.

"Hunt is committed to our residents," said Robin Vaughn of the Hunt Development Group. "We are focused on ensuring this transition is a positive one and we pledge to continue to find ways to deliver excellent customer service and quality communities to our Air Force families."

Negotiations between Hunt and Pinnacle to transfer a third project, the Falcon Group, continue. That project includes Patrick AFB, Fla., Moody AFB, Ga., Little Rock AFB, Ark., and Hanscom AFB, Mass.
