Firefighters from the 325th Civil Engineer Squadron at Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., undergo three-dimensional running fuel fire training to master techniques used in aircraft rescue firefighting scenarios. This month marks the 20th anniversary of the DoD Fire and Emergency Services Certification Program that ensures military and civilian firefighters are properly trained, certified and qualified. Since it began, the F&ESCP has issued more than 570,000 certificates to more than 160,000 firefighters and federal emergency responders. The certification courses have academic and practical elements and cover the gamut of firefighting and emergency response capabilities. (U.S. Air Force photo/Eddie Green)
