TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The new Air Force Fire Chief Jim Podolske poses with a fire services vehicle here recently. The Air Force named Podolske as chief of the Fire Emergency Services, a division of the Air Force Civil Engineer Center’s Readiness Directorate April 8, 2013. As the Air Force Fire Chief, Podolske manages a force of more than 9,200 military and civilian firefighters as well as the programs that provide them with equipment, vehicles and training.
