New cyber warfare facility

LACKLAND AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- A ribbon cutting ceremony was held June 9 for the new Cyberspace Operations Center at Lackland. Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment engineers managed construction of the $11 million, 38,000 square foot Base Realignment and Closure facility. It is the first of its kind in the nation and the first step in cyber warfare. The building now home to the 68th Network Warfare Squadron and the 710th Information Operations Flight.
