During the community cleanup event, the largest of the three-week San Antonio Armed Forces 2011 Earth Day celebration, more than 100 people from various San Antonio military units including the Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment, AFRPA. 802nd Civil Engineering Squadron Asset Management Flight and Air Force Medical Operations Agency picked up trash, cleared invasive weeds and pulled algae from the river.
