LACKLAND AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Leonard "Lenny" Hardy, an Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment contractor, has built a system of pumps and filters to create a vegetable oil fuel blend for his diesel truck. Hardy has been successfully using the alternative fuel for a substitute for diesel for more than six years and has put more than 100,000 miles on his vehicle during that time. Courtesy photo
