AF biologists observe, protect sea turtle nests

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- A biologist here removes sea turtle eggs from a nest located on the beach front there. Female sea turtles lay between 100 and 126 ping-pong ball-sized eggs per nest. Once the sea turtle eggs are removed, the nests are relocated to a different part of the beach to give the hatchlings a better chance of survival. (Courtesy photo)
