Global Counter-IED Threat Assessment Course

NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. - The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Global Counter-IED Threat Assessment Course, here, provides advanced training for new EOD team leaders enabling them to hone their leadership and management skills for counter-IED operations. For two weeks, students are put through up to 56 operations which simulate IED scenarios at home station and deployed locations. The course is currently hosted by the 99th Civil Engineer Squadron and the 820th RED HORSE Squadron EOD teams and provides more focused counter-IED training than has been available.
