Wet-weather repair test

TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. - Members of the Air Force Civil Engineer Center’s Readiness Directorate restock a volumetric mixer with 3,000 pounds of rapid-setting flowable fill material during a wet-weather crater repair test here Aug. 14, 2013. Designed to hold up to 18,000 pounds, the mixer is a prototype being evaluated as part of AFCEC’s airfield damage repair modernization program. The wet-weather test is designed to test the effects of rainwater on materials like the flowable fill. AFCEC will use these findings to refine ADR tactics, techniques and procedures.
