RADBO laser system

TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Florida – Testing has begun on the Recovery of Airbases Denied by Ordnance, or RADBO, system at the Redstone Test Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The RADBO platform integrates a three-kilowatt Zeus III laser and robotic arm on a fielded mine-resistant ambush protected, or MRAP, vehicle, to more safely detonate unexploded ordnance from runways and taxiways. The technology may provide an improvement to the current “one man, one bomb” technique of UXO removal. (U.S. Air Force photo/Released)
