CCAFS Laser Scanning

Members of the Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida are using lasers to document and preserve six high-priority historic launch complexes at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. The Air Force has partnered with AIST over the past two years to provide accurate and measurable data of the complexes, which are in danger of being lost forever due to corrosive ocean environmental conditions coupled with a lack of funding for preservation.
