Volunteers unload marine-friendly concrete oyster domes prior to being placed in the near-shore water along the MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, southeastern shoreline as part of a long-running shoreline stabilization and restoration effort. The Air Force Civil Engineer Center’s East Region Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan, or INRMP, team facilitated negotiations with regulators and advocated for funding on the multi-year project.
