Maj. Paul Sipe, Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District deputy commander, speaks at the groundbreaking of the new Visitor’s Quarters project Oct. 24, 2018 on Joint Base Charleston, S.C. The project is a result of low vacancy at the current Visitor’s Quarters. The modernized four-story structure will have 266 guest rooms, conference rooms, an exercise room, guest laundry and other amenities covering 150,000 square-feet. The Visitor’s Quarters project is slated for completion in Fall 2020.
