The Air Force is working with the Department of Defense, other state, federal regulatory entities, and private industry to develop technology and techniques to address environmental impacts from PFOS/PFOA. Recent research includes fluorine-free alternatives, foam filtration technology, PFAS detection technology, and disposal options.
