Women Civil Engineers Making History with the Tyndall Rebuild
Retired Brig. Gen. Patrice Melançon walks through a destroyed hangar at Tyndall AFB. She was assigned as the mobilization assistant to the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center commander in the days following the disaster, she returned to active duty to serve as executive director of the Program Management Office, now known as the Natural Disaster Recovery Division of the Air Force Civil Engineer Center.
