Seats are still available for an airfield pavement design course June 19 - 21, hosted by AFCEE's Capital Investment Execution Division.  This two and a half day course, to be held in Port San Antonio's Bldg. 171, will be conducted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer's Transportation Systems Center.

This training opportunity, available to all Department of Defense employees, is expected to be helpful for engineers involved in the development of requirements for designs of airfield pavements and those seeking continuing education.

In the workshop, the TSC is expected to provide the latest information on airfield design criteria, project data gathering, geometrics and air space requirements, editing guide specifications, typical drawings (phasing, removal, jointing, etc.), standard details, subdrainage and pavement markings.  The course will also focus on the ways DOD designs differ from other pavement designs including the Federal Aviation Administration and on those items to focus on during design and submittal reviews to ensure a quality product.

To reserve a seat in the class, call (210) 244-4295 or email ginsberg_robert@bah.com.
