Engineers at Hurlburt Field, Fla., expanded and improved the installation's graywater distribution system to reduce demand on the local water supply. Forty-thousand feet of new piping and a 500,000 gallon storage tank help the base save 13 million gallons of potable water a year formally used for industrial and irrigation needs. The Department of Energy chose it as a 2014 Federal Energy Management Program award winner. (U.S. Air Force photo/Released)
