Residual value settlement

SUFFOLK COUNTY, England -- The Shepherds Grove housing area here, formerly used by Airmen stationed at nearby installations including RAF Mildenhall and its sister base RAF Lakenheath, was part of a recent residual value settlement between the Air Force and the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence. The settlement included 14 military family housing installations in the U.K. The total value recouped, $2.4 million, will fund construction, maintenance, repairs and environmental compliance projects at U.S. Air Forces in Europe installations.
