Taking inventory

HURLBURT FEILD, Fla. - Senior Airman Joshua Sherls, emergency management journeyman with the 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron here, checks the inventory of an emergency management unit type code, or UTC. Equipment experts at the Air Force Civil Engineer Center want to reduce the number of Air Force civil engineer UTCs that must be stored and maintained for contingency operations. This reduction would remove approximately $27 million in current equipment shortfalls and release $19 million in assets to help fill deficits. (U.S. Air Force photo/Eddie Green)
