Manages and oversees the DAF Emergency Management Program execution for 225 installation emergency management programs and the organizing, training, and equipping coordination for more than 1,600 total force emergency management Airmen. The division includes the Air Force EM and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear, or CBRN, passive defense program subject matter expert. Management oversight areas include emergency management plans and tactics, techniques and procedures; education and training; equipment acquisition, modernization and sustainment; and program operations support including CBRN-related intelligence analysis, data analysis, knowledge management and integration initiatives. The division develops comprehensive products and provides support for EM flight plans, education and training, equipment acquisition, and sustainment. In addition, the division provides technical and operational guidance and reach-back support.
