Director of Staff
The director of staff manages and oversees mission support activities for the Air Force Civil Engineer Center, a field operating agency of the Air Force Civil Engineer. These activities include the execution of the public affairs, human resources management, protocol, civil engineering history, workflow, and strategic engagement programs. The director of staff is also responsible for strategic planning and initiatives, facility management, safety, emergency management, and the director's inspection program.

Chief Financial Office
The Chief Financial Office operates as the AFCEC Budget Office and provides a full range of financial management support, including budget formulation, budget justification, budget execution, and processing financial documents. The office also interacts with the base Accounting Liaison Office and Defense Finance and Accounting Service to address accounting issues, processing purchase requests and providing financial analysis and reporting.

AFCEC receives and manages funds from a broad array of customers and a wide range of appropriations to include:: Operations & Maintenance, Environmental Restoration Account, Base Realignment and Closure, Military Family Housing, Military Construction, and funding from non-Air Force customers in support of Iraq Reconstruction, Afghanistan Reconstruction, and funding from a variety of other organizations.

The office also performs a variety of other functions, such as managing internal controls, audits, and inspections. It serves as trainer and systems administrator for the Automated Business Services Systems , Defense Travel System, and the Obligation Adjustment Reporting System.

Chief Information Office
The Chief Information Office provides information technology support for all AFCEC personnel. This support includes acquiring software and hardware, managing AFCEC's equipment inventory, certifying and maintaining legacy systems, maintaining system servers, providing Help Desk support for configuring, installing, maintaining desktops and laptops, and troubleshooting problems associated with both hardware and software. The AFCEC webmaster, working with the Public Affairs staff, is responsible for developing web pages and web applications, and maintaining AFCEC's public and private websites. The telephone control officer is responsible for coordinating with Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland regarding telephone service and with DISA on telecommunication requests for AFCEC personnel outside of the San Antonio area.

Staff Judge Advocate
The Staff Judge Advocate office provides legal services and support to AFCEC on the following:
