SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Chadwick Avery, a member of the Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment's Technical Division, breaks up algae in the San Antonio River during the Mission Reach community cleanup event April 19. During the event, the largest of the three-week San Antonio Armed Forces 2011 Earth Day celebration, more than 100 people from various military units in the area including AFCEE, Air Force Real Property Agency, 802nd Civil Engineering Squadron Asset Management Flight and Air Force Medical Operations Agency picked up trash, cleared invasive weeds and pulled algae from the river.
