Doug Ferrell from Shackelford Plumbing assembles chill water pipe fittings Feb. 15 in front of the Triangle Fitness Center. Keesler has garnered $2.5 million for two projects that will reduce the base’s energy consumption. The chilled water loop project will increase cooling reliability and cut 165,000 kilowatt hours from the base’s monthly electric bill, saving Keesler nearly $140,000 annually. The lighting modernization project will reduce energy consumption and improve lighting conditions in 16 buildings across the base. (U.S. Air Force photo by Kemberly Groue)
