BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo.

Engineers at Buckley Air Force Base, Air Force Space Command, and the Air Force Civil Engineer Support Agency, Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., worked together to bring this six-acre solar array online in 2010. While the Air Force is aggressively expanding the number of renewable energy projects on installations, it also purchases green power from sources near bases and receives credit through the purchase of renewable energy certificates.
