Sprouting seedlings will be transplanted to a 22-acre organic farm, and eventually harvested and sold at a farmers market to benefit homeless people in Miami, Florida. The Air Force transferred about 80 acres of the former Homestead Air Force Base to the Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust via a Public Benefit Conveyance to provide supportive housing, the farm, and other amenities for homeless people in the area.
