New wind turbines

CAPE COD AIR FORCE STATION, Mass. -- Contractors construct the foundation for one of two new wind turbines located on Joint Base Cape Cod, Mass. The foundation used over 600 cubic yards of concrete. The two, new turbines join three others already in operation on the 20,000-acre area formally known as the Massachusetts Military Reservation. The turbines will offset half of Cape Cod AFS’s electric bill. (U.S. Air Force photo/Steve Mellin)
