Alaska Clear ECIP

In the months preceding the completion of an energy conservation investment project at Clear Air Force Station, Alaska, the base used portable heaters procured through Air Force Space Command and the 21st Space Wing team at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, and Pacific Air Forces through the 354th Fighter Wing team at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. At a cost of $55,000, the heaters served as a backup heat source until the project was complete and the power switch to the local grid took place in December 2015.
