Rapid Airfield Damage Recovery training

A crew of Airmen work together to fill a simulated battle-damaged crater with a mixture of flowable fill and 50 gallons of water. This is the first step of the asphalt capping process, and after 15 minutes, the rapid setting concrete cap is complete. This was just one portion of the Rapid Airfield Damage Recovery training event that took place July 21, 2021, at the Silver Flag Training Site at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida.
