Robins AFB, Ga., EUL

The Air Force Civil Engineer Center issued a Request for Qualifications for the development of a (up to) 10-megawatt solar photovoltaic project at Robins AFB, Ga.

The Air Force is seeking to enter into letters-of-intent to lease with qualified developers that plan to submit proposals in response to Georgia Power Company's 2013 Advanced Solar Initiative Request for Proposals expected to be released on or about May 10, 2013. The Air Force would enter into exclusive lease negotiations with the developer selected by Georgia Power to deliver solar power from the Robins site.

The project would be developed on a 59-acre site on the installation and power generated would be sold to Georgia Power Company. The site is located near a Georgia Power Combustion Turbine with voltage distribution lines, making interconnection accessible.
